This 3-Day SUP Day Camp is non-residential. It starts from 9.00am to 5.00pm daily. The course will cover key knowledge and technique in paddling skills, and is designed to provide more in-depth skills and knowledge so you can paddle with safety, confidence and some self sufficiency.
Day 1:
Welcome and Introduction to SUP.
Safety with board handling, entrance and exit
Paddling Posture
Basic Paddling strokes
Basic turning and stopping the boards.
Self Rescue - falling and getting back on board.
Theoretical Session:
Understand weather, wind, tides, hazards at your paddling location
Pre-requisite:
The camp is ideal for new or inexperienced paddlers.
Age group between 12-15 years old.
Must be able to swim at least 50m.
Day 2:
Welcome back and physical conditioning.
Refining paddling strokes
Paddle handling for directional flow
Pivot Turns
Self Rescue - optional method of getting on board
SUP expedition along Pasir Ris Beach.
Theoretical Session:
Type of SUP Boards, equipments and accessories.
Upon Successful Completion:
ASI SUP Wis Level 1 iCertificate
SUP Training Logbook
Eligible to sign up for "Train to Race" sessions.
Eligible to join members' paddling events
Day 3:
Welcome back and SUP Wise Intensive Level 1 Foundation certification.
Learning to race.
Let's race
Certificate and Award presentation.
Closing and end of camp
